General Rules
Games are played on Saturday Mornings at Forrest Grove Middle School Fields
Make up games are usually played on Sunday ( if needed)
PreK/K
- 2 x 12 min halves. Size 3 ball.
- No goalies
- 3 or 4 on a side. 3 is preferred, but coaches can agree to 4 if the teams are large
- No throw-ins; The ball is kicked in from the sideline if out on the sides, or goal or corner kick if out on the end line. If the player dribbles in that is OK.
- On goal kicks, the opposing team should be behind the midfield line until the ball is touched in play by a member of the kicking team.
Grade 1/2
- 2 x 20 min halves. Size 3 ball.
- No goalies
- 4 or 5 on a side at the discretion of the coaches
- Throw ins from the sidelines - illegal throw ins are not penalized but instruction should be given.
- Goal kicks and corner kicks
- On goal kicks, the opposing team should be behind the midfield line until the ball is touched in play by a member of the kicking team.
Grade 3/4
- 2 x 25 min halves. Size 4 ball.
- Goalies
- 7 or 8 on a side. 7 is preferred, but coaches can agree to 8 if the teams are large
- Throw ins. One illegal throw-in is OK, referee should explain what was wrong. A 2nd consecutive illegal throw-in transfers possession to the other team
- Goal kicks and corner kicks
- On goal kicks, the opposing team should be behind the "Build Out Line" until the ball is touched in play by a member of the kicking team
- Offsides can be called
